Add your first project

Everything in TaskGlaze starts from a project — your site, tracked. Here's what the form actually asks for.

A project is TaskGlaze's basic unit: one website, with its own keywords, backlink scans, CRM prospects and audit history. You'll usually only need one or two — a trial account includes room for 2 projects.

Where to start

Go to Add Project (/projects/new). You'll see a toggle between two ways in:

  • Enter Website — the normal path. Fill in Website URL (e.g. https://yourwebsite.com), an optional Project Name, and Niche / Industry.
  • Import from GSC — click Connect Google Search Console, sign in, and pick one of your verified properties. There's no separate submit step; picking the property creates the project.

Niche isn't cosmetic — it's what TaskGlaze compares a backlink prospect's site against later, when it judges whether that prospect is a good topical fit for you. Pick the closest real match, not a guess; you can't skip this field.

What happens after you submit

Click Start Full Audit and TaskGlaze immediately kicks off a full-site crawl in the background — that's where your site's health score comes from (real issue detection: crawlability, indexability, on-page technical, performance). You don't have to wait on this screen; the project appears in your project list right away and the audit keeps running.

What to do next

A project by itself doesn't track anything yet — the next step is adding a keyword to track (see "Track a keyword in your country or city"), which is also what unlocks "who outranks you" for that keyword.

If you're on a trial and already have 2 projects, adding a third is blocked until you upgrade or free one up — the error message on the form will say so plainly if you hit that limit.

Your project list (/projects) shows every site you've added with its favicon and domain, so switching between them is a glance, not a search. Once the audit finishes, that same list is where the health score first appears — click into the project to see exactly which issues are dragging it down.
