Track a keyword in your country or city

Rankings are local. Here's how to tell TaskGlaze exactly which country — and which city — to check from.

A keyword's position isn't one number — it depends where the search happens. TaskGlaze checks real SERP positions for the exact country (and, when it matters, city) you choose, not just a generic worldwide result.

Adding a keyword

Open your project's Keywords tab (/ranks) and click Add keywords. The modal gives you two ways in: Paste keywords (type or paste a list, one per line) or Import CSV for a bigger batch.

  • Country — a combobox of real, supported locations.
  • City — optional, for local-intent keywords ("plumber" means something different in each city you serve). If you type a place name that's ambiguous, TaskGlaze offers a "did you mean" list rather than guessing.
  • Device — desktop or mobile. Rankings can and do differ between them.
  • Target position — optional, just for your own tracking; it doesn't change how the check runs.

A CSV import resolves each row's location text the same way — against the same real location list — and flags duplicates (same keyword/location/device already tracked) before anything is added.

What a trial includes

A trial account can actively track 10 keywords at once, with room to save up to 50 total (so you can pause some and track others without losing history), plus 5 one-off keyword lookups for quick research that isn't part of ongoing tracking.

On cadence

TaskGlaze doesn't re-check every keyword every single day for every plan — trial and lower tiers check on a multi-day cadence, not hourly or daily. The exact next-check date is always shown next to the keyword, so you're never guessing.

Once a keyword has at least one check recorded, its Competitors section fills in automatically — see "Find who outranks you" next.

Want to check the same keyword from a second city too? Add it again with the new country/city pair — each location/device combination is tracked as its own row with its own history. Your target position, on the other hand, can be adjusted at any time after a keyword is already tracked, right from its row.
