Plans, upgrades, downgrades and cancelling
What actually happens — and when — if you upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your TaskGlaze plan.
Upgrading takes effect immediately. You're charged the difference for the rest of the current period, worked out to the day, and you see the exact amount before you confirm.
Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal, not immediately. You keep the plan you paid for until the period you've already paid for ends. This is deliberate: you shouldn't lose features you've already bought.
Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not end your current period early. If you cancel on day 3 of a monthly plan, you have 27 days of full access left, and then the account moves to a locked, read-only state. Your data is not deleted. You can export it, and resubscribing restores full access.
You can do all three yourself from the billing page — there's no email-support-to-cancel step, and there never will be.
Refunds: subscription charges are non-refundable, and unused time in a period isn't credited. That's in the terms. But if you were charged in error — a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled — email support@taskglaze.com and we'll sort it out. We'd much rather fix a billing mistake directly than have you go to your bank about it.
Annual plans are billed once a year, and we email you three days before the renewal so it's never a surprise on your statement.
On your card statement the charge appears as TASKGLAZE.COM. If you don't recognise a charge, that's us.
