What link monitoring checks and when it emails you

Once a link is live, TaskGlaze keeps watching it — here's exactly what changes it catches and how you find out.

Getting a link placed isn't the end of the story — a site can quietly switch your link from dofollow to nofollow, or remove it outright, weeks or months later. Link Monitoring exists so you find out, instead of noticing by accident during your next backlink scan.

Turning it on

Link Monitoring is a toggle on each individual CRM prospect's record, not a separate page — once a link is confirmed live, switch it on there. A status dot shows the current state at a glance: off, on-but-not-yet-confirmed, or on-and-confirmed-live.

What it actually checks

Each check re-visits the live page and confirms two things: whether your link is still there at all, and whether its follow status has changed. If a monitored link disappears, that shows up as "lost" on the prospect record.

How you find out

Right now, TaskGlaze surfaces a change as an in-app notification — the bell icon lights up immediately with which domain lost the link — rather than a separate email. If you check your notifications regularly, you won't miss it; it isn't currently a background email you can ignore your inbox for.

How often it checks

Cadence isn't a blanket daily promise — it's paced by your plan and budget. A trial account gets the same choice of intervals as the Pro plan: twice a week, weekly, or monthly, whichever you pick per link. Only Agency accounts can choose a genuinely daily interval, and only while they stay under their monitoring budget.

A trial includes 100 link-monitoring checks to spend across however many links you turn monitoring on for — each scheduled check against a link draws one down, so turning it on for your most valuable placements first, rather than every prospect by default, gets you the most out of that budget.
