Save a prospect and find a verified email

Turning a backlink row into an outreach prospect — and getting a real, verified email for it, not a guess.

A backlink you found while analyzing a competitor is just a data row until you save it as a prospect. This is what moves it into your outreach CRM, where you can find contact info, tag it, and eventually email it.

Select one or more rows on the Backlinks page and use Add to CRM from the selection toolbar. You'll be asked which project/folder to save into, then confirm with Add to Outreach. Domains that already share a link on the same site merge into one CRM row rather than creating duplicates.

Finding a verified email

Saving a prospect doesn't automatically go looking for an email — that's a separate, deliberate step so you only pay for lookups you actually want. From the CRM selection toolbar, use Contact (or Both, to also detect niche relevance at the same time). This queues a real background job — email discovery plus deliverability verification, not a guess — and you'll see a status badge update once it completes.

Verification comes back as a real signal, not just found/not-found: an address can come back as strongly deliverable, risky, unverifiable, or outright undeliverable, with a confidence score attached — so you can decide whether it's worth sending to before you use up a send.

What it costs

A lookup spends from your trial's 100 outreach tokens — and only when it actually finds something; a miss doesn't cost you anything. The confirm dialog always shows the worst-case token cost before you commit, so there's no surprise afterward.

Once a prospect has a verified email, two things unlock: sending or scheduling outreach to it (see "Send your first outreach sequence"), and seeing what kind of link that site actually hands out (see "What the link-type tags mean").

Saving prospects into your CRM itself doesn't count against a metered limit — it's the email lookup and later the send that draw from your trial's budget, not the act of organizing prospects into your pipeline.
